How have you been?

So much is going on in the world these days; it’s hard to decide where to begin.

How about the eugenics of the disabled, the sick, and the elderly? Or, as it is put these days, euthanasia.

We can clearly see that Canada has its MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) program and is somehow managing to justify euthanizing certain people whom they claim gave the OK. This has become the country’s 4th leading cause of death.

Since its inception (legalized in 2016), the program has expanded significantly, with over 76,000 deaths as of late 2025, 16,499 in 2024. And now there are about 1,000 daily that are euthanized, with more to come in 2027 when they make mental illness an acceptable form of euthanasia.

The program states that one must be 18+, have the capacity to make decisions, and suffer from a grievous medical condition causing a physical or mental impairment. Those who do have a mental illness are excluded from the MAID program until March 17, 2027.

Assessment requires two independent healthcare professionals (it is unknown what kind of healthcare professionals they can be) and a 92-day assessment period for those not near death, though this can be waived if capacity is lost.

They claim there are procedural safeguards, though there have been over 400 compliance issues, given that the system lacks specific safeguards against abuse, particularly for those who are poverty-stricken or lack social/family support regarding MAID. Some provinces, like Alberta, have introduced legislation to further restrict MAID, such as banning Dr’s from unilaterally raising the option with patients.

Recently, I saw an article where a 17-year-old who had been raped and was suffering emotionally from the trauma, and instead of counseling, she was euthanized. Was this with coercion? Was it voluntary? That part was unknown, but it was implied she was coerced.

Another article said that an elderly woman, who did not want to die, was put down like a rabid dog with her hands folded in prayer, begging for her life.

The Netherlands recently euthanized a 2-year-old child, who was born prematurely and had some brain trauma and seizures. The dr’s consulted with the parents, and they agreed to end the supposed suffering by euthanizing the child.

Did anyone happen to catch any of these articles? If so, how did you react? What did you think? More importantly, how did this make you feel?

Have we become so desensitized to death that we are willing to accept outright murder?

Denmark is now allowing “mature children” to consent to being euthanized for whatever reason. Why? How can any child be ”mature” enough to truly understand what euthanasia means? To them, it might be considered a game.

One really must sit back and look into themselves and wonder, am I so heartless to think that if a child is “mature” enough to consent to euthanasia for whatever reason, that this is OK?

I still have a heart. I still have sympathy. I still have compassion. I still have empathy. But what I do not have is the ability to think it is Ok in any sense to euthanize a child or an elderly person or someone suffering from trauma. Any more than I think abortion is healthcare or a woman’s choice, as all add up to murder.

In today’s society, we find people cheering for the perpetrator, like Lindsay Clancy, who murdered her 3 children in cold blood. Or Luigi Mangione, who shot the CEO of United Healthcare in the back. Or those who are favoring a country that had children and others kidnapped and/or murdered.

Why have so many become so hard-hearted? So cold-hearted? Why have so many accepted the trafficking, torture, and murder of children? Why have we not held people liable for the constant harm of children, such as certain politicians who make laws favoring the pedophile or trafficker? And downplay the severity of their crimes by lowering the punishment?

Another horrific example of seemingly acceptable harm to a child is this: In California, the insanity of child sexual assault goes on and on by now claiming that if a child ” consents ” to having sex with an adult, this is OK. How in the hell can any child consent? They really do not understand what they are consenting to. I must ask again, why are we allowing this, and why are we thinking this is normal and acceptable?

Why do so many turn away when they see a victim being harmed on the street and only film it with their phone’s camera?

Why do people look the other way when a child is harmed?

Why do we allow this?

Why let people be euthanized instead of being helped?

We are all in this life together. I believe in helping each other through this life instead of looking for ways to kill off all that we can.

Do you look for ways to help? Do you prefer that people murder the unborn who have no choice or voice in the matter? Who will never be loved or have a name or a final resting place outside of the basement furnace.

Do we really have a right to take the life of an innocent human being? Especially those too young or too old to fight for themselves?

At this point, one must ask: what have we become?

Where do we go from here?

This is today’s critical thinking and food for thought:

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME?
