HELLO FREE THINKERS

As I have previously written, this site is very controversial. I am not here to change your mind, but instead to get you to think for yourself, even if you have made up your mind. It never hurts to see things from a different angle and then use critical thinking to achieve a better result in one’s life. But you choose.

FREEDOM: Are we really free?

I suppose we would have to look at where in the world we live.

Are we born free? Are we born into Communism?  Socialism? Authoritarianism? A Dictatorship?

What culture are we born into? Is it free?

When we consider freedom, we think we are free to choose the life we wish to lead.  However, there are so many laws, rules, cultural specifics, religious controls, politics, morals, duties, obligations, financial situations, to name a few.

What should we choose? What about morals? Whose morals? One culture’s idea of morals may be a religious doctrine; another’s may be religious freedom to choose whether to believe in that one culture’s religion.  What about the religion you were born into? Is this religion promoting right and wrong?  What are those rights and wrongs?

Does one believe in caring for life? Or does it believe in conquering the world and forcing the world into its religious beliefs? What about its political agenda?

Is there any right religion?  Is there any wrong religion?  I suppose it would begin with your upbringing and whether you practiced what that upbringing taught, or whether you broke away and thought for yourself about what you chose to believe?

Are you free to choose? And what do you choose? What is religion really teaching?  I suppose it depends on what religion you were brought up with. Do all religions believe in one Bible? Or one doctrine?  Or one God? What about Jesus? Does every religion believe he was the son of God? What God?

So, I ask again, are you really free?

What about government control? Who says what you can and cannot do in your life? It would depend on which country you were born in. What does Communism say?  Do you get to be free? What about a free country like the U.S.A.?

Even in a free country like the U.S., you have laws, rules, regulations, etc. Are you truly free to make personal medical decisions, or does the government control that? Or big pharma? Or the Dr? Or society?

What about the cost of goods?  Are you free or enslaved to pay whatever one charges?

We work 5 days or more per week and cannot wait for the weekend to break away from the grind of a job.  And what do we do?  Do we feel free when that weekend comes around? Is freedom loving/liking our job?

What controls us?  What makes us free? I think, therefore I am, comes to mind. Do our thoughts make us feel free? Are we free to think whatever we like? Or are we brain-washed, programmed into thinking of what we saw or read? What do we think?

Are we free?

So many controls worldwide. So many wish to be free. When are we really free?

Perhaps if we got off the grid, hunted, fished, and grew our food. Built our homes. Own the land, but still have to pay property tax or an HOA/CCR’s (unless we made sure those were not there).

Perhaps the Amish have the freedom that so many are not granted by the constraints of city dwelling. Are they truly free? Do they adhere to a specific religious belief?  Is that freedom or not? Outside of complying with their religious beliefs, they may actually come the closest to freedom.

Perhaps some tribe in a remote, faraway forest is free.  Free from what? Political agendas? Political control? Are they free to be who they want to be? Free to live without being controlled by a religion, or by those who want to enslave them into the same lifestyle as them?

What about live and let live? That has many ramifications as well.  Some will use that saying to murder another, force them into a medical procedure, or say they should be euthanized if old, crippled, etc.

But live and let live should mean enjoying your life without harming another or expecting them to comply with your way of life and thinking.

Think about what freedom truly means to you. What really is freedom?

Is death the only true freedom? Is that the only way to find peace and freedom? Perhaps, perhaps not.

We can remain free if we can free ourselves from the dogma of what others expect. We can choose what type of life we wish to have if only we understand the frailty of life and those who wish to control us.  We must break free to be free.

When are we truly free?
